DAN BROWN COMMITS TO THE MILLERS AFTER WEEKEND TALKS AT STOKE LANE !

Carlton Town are delighted to announce that Centre Back Dan Brown has committed to Carlton Town for at least another year after agreeing a new contract with the club today.

Dan recently won £500 in the first super Football card prize and is pictured with Gaz Bee and Greg Last collecting his prize.

Carlton Chairman Mick Garton told us, “when Tommy followed Mark in committing to the club for the forthcoming season, one of the priorities was to secure certain players who are key to building the new look team around and Dan was certainly one at the top of that list”

“He was one of the key reasons we didn’t get relegated and his commitment is everything the club want from a player, I have even found him training on his own at the ground on a non training night when I nipped down to the ground for a meeting recently”

“There will be departures and one of those is obviously Nat Watson who wished the club all the best on social Media and we wish him well too in his new challenge. Nat was a star in the previous season with his performances and finished this season well and helped massively in keeping us up, in particular with his injury time goal at Grantham, but sadly through suspension and injury, we didn’t have him on the pitch as often as we would have liked during the season if I’m totally honest, we genuinely wish him all the very best though, when he was on it, he was brilliant to watch” continued the Chairman.

” I can also confirm that the Club’s presentation will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 25th June from 2pm till 6pm in The Howard Mitchell Sportsbar and supporters are all invited, it has been difficult to find a date this season due to the way holidays and other commitments have fallen, so we have to go with a Sunday afternoon, more details will follow in the coming days”
