Carlton Town maintained their second place in the current form table after Saturday’s fine 2-0 away win at Stocksbridge with 24 points from the last 10 games.
Seven wins and three draws is impressive indeed and only Cleethorpes have a better current form placing with 25 points from 10 games.
Newton Aycliffe are third with 21 points and Emily who we play at Stoke Lane on Tuesday 25th March are fourth with 20 points from the last 10 games.
The Millers would also like to congratulate Newcastle United on their superb Carabo Cup Final win over Liverpool on Sunday.
A group of Newcastle fans have become regular visitors to our bar when Newcastle take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in the last couple of years, making now 3 visits to the Bill Stokeld Stadium pre match and putting a few hundred pounds through our Clubhouse in the process.
Friends of Boatsy, they have kindly supported our bar and we have put them some sandwiches and snacks on as a thankyou and it’s fair to say they have made an excellent impression on our bar staff, a few of them also joined Boatsy at a recent Carlton away game in Newcastle.
So it was only natural, that quite a few Millers were supporting them on Sunday and were delighted to see them finally win a trophy, they will be celebrating for some time we suspect and why not !
The Millers return to action on Tuesday night 18th March 7.45pm and make the journey to Liversage, there is no coach for this game, but the team will obviously be hoping a few can make the journey down to show their support.
Chairman Mick Garton, Commercial Chief Boatsy and Carlton Town TV’s Ben Marsh are guests on Radio Nottingham on Tuesday tea time with Arun Verma (pictured) from 6pm as the build up to Non League Day, which is this coming Saturday 22nd March, begins with the Millers upping their coverage of the big day from Wednesday onwards, with lots planned in the build up, on the day and afterwards with the Millers hoping for a big crowd at the Bill Stokeld Stadium to celebrate a unique day in the Football calendar.
Finally, we have some cracking footage from our friends at Proper Football who covered our home win over North Ferriby on Saturday 8th March.
