CONGRATULATIONS TO CLEETHORPES AND DUNSTON TRIP NEXT UP FOR MILLERS

Carlton Town’s superb 15 game unbeaten run came to and end in front of 230 at Stoke Lane on Saturday as Cleethorpes became Northern Premier East league Champions and deservedly so after an outstanding season which has seen them take a superb 88 points from 35 games.

Carlton played Cleethorpes early in the season after an unbeaten start to the season and went down 3-0 on the East coast and Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks said then, that Cleethorpes would be the team to beat if any other side was expecting to challenge for the title.
He was not wrong and they have lost only five league games all season and have a superb goal difference of plus 55.

The Millers remain 8th and still have an outside chance of the playoffs after the 3-0 defeat at Stoke Lane, their first since last November, but will now probably have to win all three remaining games to have a chance of making it and next Saturday’s game will not be any easier, with second placed Dunston next up away from home.
The price remains at £15 for return coach travel with kids travelling free and the coach will leave the ground at 9am and Millers Barn at 9.30am. Boasty can be contacted on 07970 064189 to book seats in the usual way.

Talking of Boatsy, his latest iniative saw over 200 Everton supporters call in at the Bill Stokeld Stadium Stadium on their way to the City Ground as Everton were playing Nottingham Forest.
A big thankyou to our club Ambassador Ian Storey-Moore (pictured in the background with Everton fans) who came down to the ground to welcome them and to Tony Prince from the Everton Supporters Club who organised it.
Nottinghamshire Police called in to ensure all was well and the clubs coffers were boosted with a significantly boosted bar take.

They were the third group of away supporters who called in this season with Newcastle United’s fans calling in twice after playing Forest on their way to league cup glory and also for the league game at the City Ground.

Carlton Town’s fans will have one last chance to see the team play at home this season when they take on Sherwood Colliery on Easter Monday 3pm, please come along and show your support, whatever the final outcome, it has undoubtedly been another decent season at Stoke Lane.
