COMMON SENSE PREVAILS IN CUP FINAL CONTROVERSY!
Commom sense has prevailed ahead of the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup Final at Basford United and supporters can now pay on the gate.
Carlton Chairman Mick Garton and Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks had been spoken to by a number of supporters who were unhappy with the decision to make tickets available on line only and both had made that point privately to the FA. Others including Mark Harvey had expressed their concerns on Social Media and in fairness to the FA , they have taken that feedback on board and today put out a statement stating people could pay on the gate.
The competition has definitely been enhanced by the inclusion of young sides from Nottingham Forest, Notts County and Mansfield Town and Carlton know they are in for a really tough game.
Mansfield knocked out holders Basford United and also won their Semi Final handsomely against Newark Fc.
Admission on the gate is £8.50 for Adults, £5 Concessions and free for under 12s.
A big thankyou to World Game Changers who are paying for tickets for those Carlton young sides upwards from the under 13s, for what promises to be a cracking game of football at Basford United on Wednesday night 4th May 7.45pm.
