COACH TIMES ANNOUNCED FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AND RECORD ATTENDANCE AT STOKE LANE!

After Tuesday night’s fantastic evening at Stoke Lane which saw Carlton Town beat Nottingham Forest under 23’s to reach only their 6th ever Nottinghamshire Senior Cup Final, thoughts move on to a packed weekend of action for Millers players and supporters alike.

The Millers recorded a record crowd for a competitive game at Stoke Lane with 733 attending the Bill Stokeld Stadium and one can only imagine how proud Bill would have been to witness the crowd and subsequent game and atmosphere.

Nottingham Forest under 23’s Manager Andy Reid was an absolute star, coming in the bar after the game and making a point of joining and speaking to the Millers Coaching staff and Congratulating the Carlton players on their victory and he is pictured with Jenson Parmentor and the now famous Charlie Clarke before the Semi Final clash.

Thoughts move to the weekend with Carlton set to face Cambridge City on Saturday and a coach is set to leave the ground at 11am with supporters welcome to join the players on the coach at a cost of just £10 each, which can be booked through Nigel Harlow from the supporters club on 07904 913764.

Only a handful of tickets remain for the coach going out to Southwell Racecourse on Easter Sunday for the Millers Race day which is a family fun day.

Tickets are £35 which include coach travel to and from the Racecourse, entry to the Racecourse and a full English breakfast in the Red Lion at Thurgaton.

Pick ups are from outside Roko, Wilford Lane West Bridgford at 9.15am, the Arnold Jean company on Calverton Road Arnold at 9.40am and outside the Willowbrook Pub Gedling at 9.55am. All times are approximate and the coach is expected to reach the Red Lion at around 10.20am. The coach will leave the Red Lion for the Racecourse between 12.30pm and 1pm and the pick up time will be announced on the coach on the day.

After all that, Carlton are back in action on bank Holiday Monday when Spalding are the visitors to Stoke Lane 3pm for their last home game of the campaign.

A full on Carlton Town weekend, coming on the back of 3 fantastic results and we still have the proper Football podcast to look forward to after host Gary’s first ever visit to Stoke Lane, we understand he loved it at the ground and that the result will  be special indeed, watch this space!
