COACH BOOKED FOR DUNSTON AFTER DAVIE GOAL BOOSTS MILLERS!
Carlton’s happiness at getting 3 points on the board was only part of the story in front of a crowd of 133 at Stoke Lane on Saturday.
A clean sheet and a 1-0 win against early season promotion challengers Pontefract was welcome indeed and Niall Davie was the Millers hero with the crucial goal.
Support for the White Ribbon campaign which we highlighted prior to the game and Alistar playing out the last post in recognition of amnesty day were important moments in the bigger picture and a big thankyou to The Dorking branch and Kelly Marie for their sponsorship on the day. The Mascots sponsored by Kelly are shown with our very own Lou Lardi and Alistair on his cornet is visible in the background.
The Millers climbed from 18th to 16th with the much needed 1-0 win, but face yet another trip to the North East next Saturday with high flying Dunston the opponents. A coach has been booked and Carlton fans are invited to travel with the management and players at a cost of £15 each, to book contact Boatsy on 07907 064189.
The coach will leave Stoke Lane at 9.30am, picking up also at Millers Barn Nuthall at 10am.
The club’s Committee are reminded that the AGM will be held at the ground on Monday 14th November from 6.30pm and a report will follow on the website within 48 hours of the meeting highlighting the main points raised and discussed.
