CLUB RECORD EQUALLED, CLEETHORPES NEXT UP AT STOKE LANE.
Supporters Chief Alan Murphy has been looking through the record books and believes the current 15 game unbeaten run, equals the clubs greatest ever run this decade.
There was a 15 game unbeaten run in the 2005-2006 season and this current run equals that and if the Millers are to beat it, they will have to stop the juggernaut that is Cleethorpes Town who smashed Sherwood Colliery 6-0 on Tuesday night and have a ten point lead at top of the table going into the final four games.
A win against the Millers on Saturday will secure the Northern Premier East League title for Cleethorpes and be a significant setback to Carlton’s hopes of making the playoffs after their incredible run, which has taken them to the brink of what would be their second playoff challenge in 2 years.
Cleethorpes are expected to bring a decent following hoping to see them secure the league title, the Millers will be hoping to delay the inevitable.
There is a special 5th anniversary draw of the 200 club this coming Saturday after the game and MSR Newsgroup have donated a special England signed framed Teddy Sherringham England picture, the former Millwall, Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker is a true legend of the game and was a fine England striker and this cracking piece of memorabilia will be a special bonus prize in the draw.
There will be another special presentation in the Clubhouse after the game as two more Millers players reach Milestones for the club, so once again if supporters would be kind enough to stay behind, the players and managers do appreciate it.
The TNT game showing in the Clubhouse this coming Saturday will be Manchester City v Crystal Palace at 12.30pm and the Sky Sports game after the Carlton v Cleethorpes clash will be the Arsenal v Brentford game which kicks off at 5.30pm.
The Carlton Town v Cleethorpes Town clash kicks off at 3pm.
