CHAIRMAN SECURES ANOTHER YEAR OF SUPPORT FROM CASTLE ROCK AHEAD OF BINGHAM CUP CLASH!

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton today met with Castle Rock Managing Director Colin Wilde and Chairman Geoff Newton and is delighted to announce that the Brewery have once again pledged to continue their sponsorship and support two speakers events in 2020.

Castle Rock will support an event which is expected to take place in March and the 2020 Christmas Luncheon and Garton was delighted from the support once again from the local brewery.

“We will hopefully be announcing the first event of 2020 in the coming days and the support of a headline sponsor is crucial to these events and there are few better than Castle Rock” said the Chairman.

Castle Rock managing Director Colin Wilde told us “It has not gone unnoticed how well Carlton are doing this season and we are delighted to remain involved and supporting the club for their Phoenix night events, we love the events and are delighted to support them once again in 2020”

Chairman Mick Garton explained one of the reasons why the club are holding a spring event this year rather than a summer one.

“With the new fund being launched headed up by Jackie North, it makes sense to free up space in the fund raising calendar in May and June to put ground fund events on because the two speaker events are part of our annual budget, so a massive thankyou to Castle Rock”

“On Saturday, a group of our away supporters went into the Willowbrook for breakfast and then 16 of us met in the Vat and Fiddle for a couple of pints, three of us had breakfast as well, so it’s great we are making a point of supporting those who support us and I know they are the principals the likes of Alan Murphy who heads up the Supporters club and is a regular in the Bread and Bitter adhere to”

In other news, Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks revealed that the squad was down to the bare bones for tomorrow nights clash with Bingham Town.

“Because of the rules attached to the Senior Cup and the fact we have kept our squad together, we are restricted who can play and with a few knocks picked up at the weekend, I will have to name substitutes that are not fully fit, so there will inevitably be a few changes, but we look forward to welcoming Bingham Town to Stoke Lane for the first time and hope there is a decent turnout ” concluded Brookbanks.

Admission for the game is £5 Adults, £3 concessions and £1 kids.
