CHAIRMAN MAKES DONATION TO TAKE FUND TO 1K AND KELLY AND ROGER WORKING HARD ON JULY FUNDRAISERS!

With the Just Giving fund set at £940 hoping to raise £1,000, Chairman Mick Garton has today made another donation to take the fund up to the target.
A massive thankyou to everyone who has contributed and in particular Kelly Mitchell and Mad Gav who were the brains behind setting up this fund, a vital part towards the £8,000, so a massive thankyou to them and to all at that Brainstorming session which put together the whole plan towards clearing that invoice.

Kelly and President Roger Smith are both working hard on two new important July Fundraisers as the club work to get their finances back on track following the horrific energy bill.

Kelly is working on a Sportday afternoon set to take place from around 2pm on Sunday 9th July with challenges including Pool, Darts, Golf, Football and Cricket finishing with a quiz in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar, it s all in a bit of fun and only £10 a person or £5 for under 16s and is the final fundraiser towards that horrifying Energy bill.

The second event in July is one that is always popular in the Club’s calendar, The Annual Golf Day is  at Oakmere Park on Saturday 28th and the price is frozen at £180 for a team of four again. The day includes a Bacon Butty on arrival with tea or coffee and a 2 course meal afterwards prior to the presentation in the Clubhouse.
