CHAIRMAN AGREES TNT DEAL AHEAD OF FOREST V BRIGHTON CLASH !
Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton has this afternoon agreed a first ever deal with TNT for the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar to show their Premiership football matches for the first time.
The deal was only possible because of the changeover to the Budweiser group made at Christmas and means that this Saturday, Forest v Brighton will be shown in the bar prior to Carlton Town v Grimsby Borough.
Going forward, it means that when Carlton are at home on a Saturday, the big Premiership game will be shown on the club’s screens from 12.30pm.
The club can also show Champions League games and Europa League games , for the benefit of local residents or parents whose kids are training on the 3G.
After the Grimsby Borough game, Carlton are next at home on Saturday 15th February when they take on Emley Fc and Leicester City v Arsenal will be the big dinner time game in the bar and on Saturday 22nd February when Carlton take on Newton Aycliffe, Everton v Manchester United will be the lunch time game in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar.
Chairman Mick Garton told us “The deal is for 12 months at the moment, so we will see how it goes, it has been mentioned to me on numerous occasions that people would get to the ground earlier if we had Premier League football before our games, but the pricing to do it was completely untenable.
With the Budweiser group now our partners, the goal posts have been moved significantly and so far these guys have been a pleasure to work with”
“It was good to get the deal over the line today (Friday) given Forest are at home this Saturday and a big thankyou to Wally who made his way urgently to the ground to meet the engineer to ensure the installation could take place immediately after terms had been agreed”
”It’s another improvement alongside the pre match guest speakers, the after match presentations which will start this week and the significant investment in the pitch to solve the waterlogging issues from last season and massive credit must of course go to all those supporters who support the 200 club which pretty much funded that work and the increased maintenance costs going forward, thankyou to one and all and to those of you who also support a premier League Club, enjoy the new experience before watching the Millers”
