CARLTON SECURE SIGNING OF IMPRESSIVE CLIFTON MIDFIELDER!
Carlton Town joint manager Mark Harvey is delighted to announce the signing of exciting young Central Midfielder Jevin Seaton from Clifton All Whites.
Although he will be unavailable to play in the Quarter Final of the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup, Harvey is delighted at the signing and spoke to us exclusively this evening.
“Jevin is a former Burton Albion youth player and as had a lot of clubs looking at him with a view to signing him, so we are delighted to announce he will be joining us at Stoke Lane”
“Jevin will add energy and quality on the ball to our squad in an area were we have taken a few hits recently, with terrible news re Tom Maddison, Danny Elliot playing injured and through the pain barrier and Ollie Clark suspended”
“Our Captain is likely to be out for the rest of the season and with the number of fixtures we still have to play, it’s an area we have been looking to strengthen and give us more options, especially with all those games coming up”
“I’m really excited by this signing and we are looking forward to working with him for the benefit of Carlton Town and helping him hopefully progress higher in the future” concluded Harvey.
The signing certainly fits in with the Carlton model of signing young players and having the ambition to develop them to prosper at Carlton and possibly beyond and also sits right with a financial model built on fund raising and volunteers and currently batting above its weight, long may that continue, despite all the other other issues the club are facing at the moment.
