CARLTON HOPING FOR GOOD TURNOUT FOR TROPHY FOR PEACE !
Carlton Town have pretty much handed stoke Lane over to their friends in the Ukraine community this Sunday 30th July as four teams compete for the Trophy for peace
Teams representing England, Poland, Ireland and Ukraine will star at The Bill Stokeld Stadium with the first semi Final kicking off at 1.30pm and the second at around 2.45pm.
The Final is scheduled for 4pm in games that will be 25 minutes each way.
England will play Ukraine and Poland will play Ireland in the two semi Finals which were drawn live on Facebook last Monday at Stoke Lane.
A superdraw, stalls and donations on the gate will help raise money for the people of Ukraine and all the players will donate £10 for playing and the Superdraw and winners presentation will take place after the Final.
Raffle tickets will also be on sale for a big draw taking place in the Greyfriars Club on Sunday Evening when Ukraine Dancers will be the centre piece of the second half of the fund raising day.
A big Thankyou to our main sponsors Msr Newsgroup and Trident Security and all the companies that have provided sponsorship or donated prizes for the big day and to in particular Carlton Town commitee members Gaz Bee and Tim Bee who have been at the forefront of this on behalf of The Millers.
Carlton Town are committed as a club to do all they can in the local community to support good causes and the pain and suffering being inflicted on the people of Ukraine by Russia has deeply upset many of the Carlton Town family and the club hopes everyone can get behind this special and important day .
