BREAKING NEWS ! CONTRACT FOR TYLER BUT ROBBO MOVES ON !

Carlton Town are delighted to announce that leading goal scorer Tyler Blake has signed a contract with the club for the remainder of this season and next season as joint managers Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey continue to plan for the future.

Brookbanks still recovering from his interview with Aamon Dumbfree spoke to us today and also gave the news that Ollie Robinson had left the club.

“Its no secret that myself and Mark are already planning for the future and we are keen to keep many of this talented squad together and I was delighted how positive Tyler was to committing his immeadiate future to us, it was a fairly straightforward conversation, he’s a good lad, a pleasure to work with, he has formed a great partnership with Aaron Opoku and he’s scoring goals for this football club and wanted to stay”

“I would like to thank the Chairman and the senior management at the club for backing us with this and helping us to continue progressing the club forward”

“It’s worth mentioning that Tyler has overcome a shocking injury last season and an eye operation this season and has come back stronger and totally motivated” continued Brookbanks.

“I would also like to say a big thankyou to Ollie Robinson who has today informed me he will be moving on to seek regular first team football, I totally get that, we are sorry to lose him and he has been a credit to the club during our time here, but given the quality of the lads in defence this season, we cannot at the moment guarantee him a regular shirt”

Blake meanwhile has scored 17 goals this season including one in the 4-0 win over Market Drayton this week and Brookbanks and Harvey firmly believe that it is a firm statement of intent by securing the services of a player who the fans have taken to their hearts and who clearly has a bright future.
