BONUS BALL HOTTING UP AND ACADEMY START 2019 WITH BIG WIN!
One of Carlton Towns big fund raising initiatives is reaching an exciting conclusion with a number of competitors now on 4 numbers and the Bonus Ball prize fund now an estimated £450.
Club Butcher Clive Lancaster, supporter Dave Perrin, webmaster Tom Nightingale , Chairman Mick Garton and his daughter Shannon are all on 4 numbers.
The Chairman Mick Garton pictured with “Sir Cliff as if” is asking supporters, Commitee and coaching staff to bring payments up to date, if at all possible at Saturdays game v Stamford and he admitted fund raising was taking on extra significance again, as it so often does in January.
” We have to settle a number of invoices in the next couple of weeks including Stadium rental and as ever it is a testing time of the year off the pitch as well as on it and this particular period is proving challenging ” admitted the Carlton Chairman.
“The extra travel associated with the East League as certainly not helped and we had little or no income over the Christmas break”
” We are currently putting together a fund raising calendar for 2019 and I am aware Dave’s announcement in terms of a boost he has secured for the club is pending, but there is still much to do to meet our financial commitments and obligations for the season” conceded the Chairman.
Carlton also received a boost on the playing side this week when their Academy side recorded a 9-1 win over Ossett United at Stoke Lane, a great start to the New Year for the Millers youngsters.
Carlton’s first team will no doubt face a stiffer test when they visit Ossett on Saturday 19th January, for now their attention will be on Stamford who visit Stoke Lane this Saturday 3pm.
