BOATSY WILL LOOK FOR SPONSOR FOR NEW COVERED STANDING FOR SUPPORTERS AND THEY REVEAL HANDFULL OF FREED UP NUMBERS FOR 150 CLUB!
Gary Boatsy Clarke pictured with a Soham Town Rangers supporter at the recent away fixture, met with Chairman Mick Garton at the Bootroom to firm up plans for the new covered standing area for spectators.
The stand will partly be paid for with money from the Supporters 150 club, significant funds from that fund have already been spent on the pitch, which have helped the club avoid postponements this season , with Saturday’s fixture against Halesowen the first to fall foul of the winter weather.
The Chairman and Commercial manager have agreed to look for a sponsor on a similar basis to what they have agreed with the Clubhouse, with the Howard Mitchell group and this website understands a figure of £2,000 is being looked for in order to secure naming rights for the new stand for next season.
The supporters club are indeed looking to do their bit and have released a number of numbers for people to join the 150 club.
These are available for various reasons including people who have not been making the monthly payments and people who have moved on to pastures new, but indeed there are players who have left the club who have stayed loyal to the supporters club Draw and Alan Murphy and his team are known to be extremely grateful for that, a full list can be found on their website.
The numbers that have tonight been made available are as follows
10, 52, 63, 74, 98, 116, 129, 145, 149.
Number 114 was also available but has been taken by Kieran Harlow as we went to press, a big thankyou to Kieran.
The supporters club are hoping to fill up the 9 available numbers in time for the March draw and in order to boost that Chairman Mick Garton has this evening made a substantial prize available as a bonus prize for the March draw.
The club’s Main Sponsors Msr Newsgroup have a corporate facility at Trent Bridge for the T20 Blast and have donated two seats for the game with Lancashire on Tuesday 31st May in a corporate box which includes a 2 course meal along with free Beer and wine throughout the game. The prize is understood to be worth over £250 and shows clear commitment towards what the supporters club are doing and how much it is appreciated.
The 9 numbers now free are available to any one wanting to help the club, all be it players not yet involved, supporters who are not yet on board, in fact anybody and a call to Boatsy on 07907 064189 and a commitment of just £10 per month by standing order to the club gets you involved.
Finally has revealed on social media earlier in the day, Carlton’s fixture with Halesowen has been rearranged for Saturday 5th March at Stoke Lane 3pm.
