BOATSY ANNOUNCES ANOTHER SPECIAL MATCH DAY GUEST AS MILLERS PREPARE FOR A BIG WEEK AT STOKE LANE!
Nottingham Forest legend Colin Barrett will be the club’s very special guest on Saturday for the Fa Trophy clash with Kidsgrove and comes just weeks after local Boxing World Champion Leigh Wood was the club’s Matchday guest.
Boatsy has told club Chairman Mick Garton that he will introduce special guests to certain games during the course of the season as part of his new role as Commercial and Marketing Manager at the club and this week’s guest is best known for the outstanding goal he scored against Liverpool as Forest started their European Cup campaign in 1978 with a 2-0 win at the City Ground.
Chetnet Ltd who are running Carlton’s online auction for this week’s big fundraiser, the Firework Extravaganza which takes place this Friday evening will also be on site on Saturday raising money to buy defibrillators for grassroot club’s.
Chetnet recently sponsored a game for the club and this latest brilliant iniative is one of many community projects the Millers are supporting and with that in mind they would like to remind supporters that they can donate to the latest food bank collection which will be open for donations on Friday evening and Saturday at the ground.
Tickets are selling well for Friday night with many other Firework events in the area not going ahead this year and supporters and the public in general are reminded that they can pay in advance on the Msr Newsgroup App or by contacting Boatsy on 07907 064189. Tickets are also on sale at the Clubhouse in the evening this week and at Msr Newsgroup Angel Row and Front Street Arnold.
Advance tickets are £12.50 for a family ticket (2 Adults and 2 Children) Adults £5 and Children £2.50.
People can also pay on the night, £15 Family ticket, £6 Adults and £3 Children and the event starts at 6pm with fairground rides and stalls and Dj Sanj Beri kicking things off.
The club can comfirm that they have secured 4 sponsors for 4 guest Real Ales and they will be on sale on Friday night and Saturday if stock remains. A massive thankyou to Mick Greenwood, Boatsy Graham Barker and AR Signs.
A BBQ, a fully stocked bar and QPR v Nottingham Forest in the clubhouse will all add to the evening along with a Superdraw and of course Big Bang Fireworks who have never let us down.
Saturday follows with the big Fa Trophy game and of course that man Colin Barrett and Carlton Town Tv and the sponsors will be among those looking forward to meeting the Nottingham Forest legend.
