BOATSY AND CHARLIE WEEKEND IN THE SMOKE AS MILLERS TRAVEL TO CORBY !
Charlie Clarke, son of Boatsy and Jo has had the most amazing week following his remarkable goal for Gedling Southbank last weekend.
Charlie and Boatsy have been on Radio Nottingham twice, Central Tv, BBC One and Radio Five Live among other stations following worldwide praise and coverage of Charlie’s 60 yard winning strike in the last minute of a Cup tie.
More of the same is to come at the weekend, with an appearance on Soccer Am, Claudia Winklemans radio show and Talksport on Sunday with Jonny Owen.
All the avove means some VIP treatment and a weekend in the ‘Smoke’ and everyone at Carlton Town is delighted for Charlie, who is a popular figure at Stoke Lane with the Millers faithful and management and players alike.
While Boatsy and Charlie take in London, Carlton take the trip across to Corby and a coach will be leaving the ground at 11.15am. The cost for supporters to join the players and management is just £10 and can be paid on the coach in the usual way.
Tickets for the Millers Race day on Sunday April 17th have gone on sale this week at just £12 each and tickets for the game v Nottingham Forest under 23s will go on sale on Monday. Watch this space for a further update over the weekend.
All at the club will be hoping for a decent result at the weekend, if for no other reason than it is a year since our very own Brian Dennett passed away and we are sure he will be looking down proud of the work going on at the club, both on and off the pitch.
Finally a warm welcome to Promising midfielder Ryan Tait who joined the club on transfer deadline day from Pagnet Rangers FC and good luck to Niall Towle who has gone in the opposite direction.
With injuries and a couple of players away, Carlton’s resources will be stretched this weekend but the Millers need to pick up points if they to have any chance of gate crashing the play off pack.
