BLAKE HATRICK MAKES IT FOUR ON THE BOUNCE FOR THE MILLERS, NOW FOR WORKSOP !
Carlton Town Joint manager Tommy Brookbanks has high regard for Frickley and believed this would be Carlton’s biggest test to date, this was the club remember that had put 6 past the Millers at the back end of last season and was considered by many to be the tipping point that finally led to the new management team coming on board and leading the team in the 2019-2020 season.
When Carlton went 2-0 down in the first half , it looked as those Carlton were in for a reality check after their brilliant start to the season, but whatever was said in that dressing room at half time certainly got a reaction and none more so , than from Tyler Blake who scored a superb hatrick to not only get up and running for the season, but also turned the game on its head.
There was significant praise for the whole team after the game with Tyler Johal and Niall Davie receiving particular mentions, but it was Tyler Blake who Carlton Town Tv wanted to speak to after the game and Neil Ward caught up with him and Joint manager Tommy Brookbanks after the fine win which made it 4 out of 4 wins to start a season, last achieved when Les Mcjannet was the manager.
A crowd of 118 meant two successive gates over a 100, another boost for Carlton given their gates last season were typically between 70 and 80.
Another decent crowd is expected next week when Worksop Town are the visitors to Stoke Lane and Msr Newsgroup have already stepped up to the plate and are sponsoring the Matchball.
B4 Painting have also come forward in the last 24 hours and will sponsor the Matchball for the St Neots Town Fa Trophy clash at the end of September, meaning Carlton only have the Newcastle Town clash on 14th September and the Spalding clash on Wednesday 25th September available this month for Matchball Sponsorship.
With it being an International break next weekend, Carlton are hoping for a decent turn out and hopefully a record breaking 5th win in a row, they currently sit second in the league.
