BIGNALLS BACK AT STOKE LANE FOR CRUCIAL MILLERS WIN!

All time leading goal scorer Phil Bignall returned to the Bill Stokeld Stadium as the club’s very special Match day guest along with his popular father Pete who formerly headed up stewards duties at the ground.

Phil Bignall is undoubtedly one of the club’s greatest ever players scoring 179 league goals for the club and he admitted to us, that he was absolutely delighted to be asked to come back as the Match day guest.

Ian Storey-Moore was a wonderful and brilliant Nottingham Forest Legend who appeared two weeks ago and went down an absolute treat, but the fantastic thing for the Millers faithful was that Phil is their legend.

Phil and Pete were interviewed by Chairman Mick Garton in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar for Carlton Town Tv before the game and that interview will be aired in due course.

On the pitch, Nat Watson and Arron Opoku impressed in a crucial 2-1 win, both scoring vital goals to keep the Millers in the playoff mix and Nat was voted Man of the Match by Match Sponsors Jo’s Barbers, a massive thankyou to them and their popular representatives are pictured with Phil Bignall presenting the prize to Nat.
