BIG WEEKEND FOR THE MILLERS BOTH ON AND OFF THE PITCH

Carlton Town are braced for one of their busiest weekends of the season with a sell out evening with Nottingham Forest legend Des Walker on Friday night and the visit of Brighouse to the Bill Stokeld Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

A significant part of the budget to run the club is brought in by speakers events and this weeks event will have good representation from the team management, Commitee, supporters and Sponsors as they listen to stories from one of Nottingham Forest’s greatest ever players and help raise those vital funds.

This website understands that the Chairman has secured another outstanding prize for the “Trust Me” draw and for the £10 Superdraw the club has a current Nottingham Forest shirt signed by their fantastic manager Nuno Espírito Santo, outstanding club captain Ryan Yates and brilliant goalkeeper Matz Sels among others.
Chilli Beef, Chips with Farmhose bread and butter are on the menu along with a selection of cakes for desert from our excellent and long standing Catering partners.

The attention moves from off the pitch to on it on Saturday as Carlton take on 16th placed Brighouse Town Fc at 3pm with Carlton in 8th position, just two points outside the playoffs.
It promises to be a thrilling finale to the season with Cleethorpes looking firm favourites to secure the title and Dunston 74 points and Emley 71 points looking favourites to clinch a play off place.
Behind them lie Newton Aycliffe 67 points, Stocksbridge and Belper Town 66 points, North Ferriby 65 points and Carlton on 64 and all the teams chasing a playoff place behind Cleethorpes have now played 37 games, while Cleethorpes have played 36.

Carlton’s run in is tough indeed with Cleethorpes and Dunston still to play, along with bogey side Sherwood Colliery who despite fighting relegation themselves, have already beaten the Millers twice this season in both the Senior Cup and the League.

Carlton’s priority for now however is bringing in some much needed revenue on Friday night and attempting to win another 3 points on Saturday, for now that is where is the focus lies.

In the meantime, we have some highlights for you from Carlton Town Tv from last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at North Ferriby.
