BIG WEEK AHEAD FOR MILLERS ON AND OFF THE PITCH AND GUEST ALES ANNOUNCED!

 After last Tuesday’s excellent 5-0 win over Southwell City in the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup, the Millers were brought back down to earth on Saturday by an agonising last minute defeat at North Sheilds after a decent performance should have seen them at least claim a share of the spoils, but once again the Millers missed a penalty at a crucial stage of the game and the 2-1 defeat will be painful to take.

No point in dwelling on what has gone however and the Millers must now focus on one of their biggest weeks of the season.

On Friday 28th October, Carlton will host one of their biggest events of the season , the Firework Extravaganza, an event now embedded in the local community and also vital to the club’s finances.

This website is delighted to announce that their will be two very special guest Ales at the ground available on Friday and Saturday from Castle Rock.

“Head in the Clouds” kindly sponsored by Greenwood Cooling will make it’s debut at the ground , a soft and juicy hazy pale with a hot mash and oats providing a smooth and silky backdrop to Mosaic Hops, bringing lots of citrus and and tropical flavour.

“Superstition” kindly sponsored by A.R Signs will also make its debut providing a fruity pale taste with notes of grapefruit and orange from a dry hop bill of simcoecand amarillo, followed by subtle malt sweetness and a refreshing crisp finish.

These will be available in the Brian Dennett Suite along with a can bar selling lager, cider and children’s drinks and featuring a chocolate stall hosted by our main sponsors Msr Newsgroup.

This bar will back up the main bar in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar and the food bar will also be open which also sells teas and coffee and there is a separate BBQ.

Fudge Glorious Fudge will be one among a number of independent stalls on the night along with Children’s fairground rounds and Top local Dj Sanj Beri will be providing the music in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar.

The firework display from Big Bang Fireworks is always outstanding and this year should be no different and tickets sales are going well ahead of the big day.

Admission on the gate is £15 for a family (2 Adults and 2 Children) £6 Adults and £3 Children , but money can be saved by purchasing tickets in advance at £12.50 Family Ticket, £5 Adults and £2.50 Children by contacting Boatsy on 07907 064189 or by calling in at the ground between 5pm and 9pm this week up to Thursday or from Msr Newsgroup stores at Front Street Arnold, Angel Row Nottingham or Radcliffe Road West Bridgford.
