A VERY SPECIAL PRE SEASON FRIENDLY ANNOUNCED BY MILLERS.

Carlton Town are delighted to announce they are to welcome Merthyr Town Fc to Stoke Lane on Saturday 24th July 3pm.

Merthyr currently play in the Southern League Premier Division and are set to bring a significant number of supporters with them to make a weekend of it in Nottingham.

The pre season friendly as been arranged by Talksports Jonny Owen who originally comes from the region and who knows the Chairman of both clubs, he set the wheels in motion and the match has been comfirmed today.

Carlton are committed to making their Welsh visitors most welcome and can also comfirm this game will also give the opportunity to Dj’s from within the clubs fan base to come and do sets both before and after the game.

Carlton Chairman Mick Garton told us “I’m really looking forward to this, they are a team we have never played before whom I’m told have a noisy band of supporters whom are looking forward to the trip to Nottingham, I know Johnny Owen is very much looking forward to it and I got similar sentiments off Boatsy today when I caught up with him re his big May Charity event at the ground”

The highly regarded Welsh club has over 12,500 followers on twitter alone, many of whom will be desperate to see some football and have a trip out of their local area, given their restrictions were more draconian than in England and they have not been able to see their side play for a considerable time.

The game may be a little distance away , but it’s one Carlton Town supporters can equally look forward to.
