A LOOK AT OUR OPENING FIXTURES AND A GUEST DJ ON SATURDAY
- The Northern Premier League fixtures have been released and Carlton are once again placed in the East League.
The opening month is a busy one indeed and Carlton have 3 home games and 3 away games in August.
Carlton start their season with a trip to the coast of Bridlington on Saturday August 10th, before opening their account at Stoke Lane on Tuesday 13th August with a mouthwatering fixture against Sheffield Fc.
The Millers are away in the Fa Cup on Saturday 17th August, but at home to Bishop Auckland for the first ever time on Saturday 24th August, before resuming old rivalry away to Garforth Town on bank holiday Monday 26th August and on Saturday 31st August the Millers host Dunston.
Other notable dates are Saturday 21st December when the Millers are at home to Bridlington in the return match and hold their annual Christmas draw and on Boxing Day, Carlton visit Sherwood Colliery before hosting Garforth in that return game on New Years Day.
The supporters favourite away day is often Sheffield Fc and that is on Saturday 4th January.
The Millers will host Sherwood Colliery on Easter Monday 21st April and their final league game is on Saturday 26th April at Bishop Auckland.
The good news for Millers fans who also support Nottingham Forest, is that up to Christmas, only three home league fixture appear to clash and that could go down to one or even none if Forest are picked for either of those games for Tv coverage.
In other news, we reported on X earlier that Blue Star Newcastle had pulled out of Saturday’s friendly at Stoke Lane, but Hanley Town Fc have kindly stepped in to replace them, kick off is at 3pm and admission is £6 Adults, £4 concessions and £1 kids.
Saturday will see us host us a young up and coming Dj when 11 year old Theo Wing (pictured) takes over the Dj stand for the afternoon, he will be on from around 1,30pm till 3pm and for about an hour after the game.
Theo is the son of one of our supporters Simon Wing , so please make him feel very welcome and pop up to the decks and say hello to the enterprising youngster.
The first three home games will be available for Sponsorship at £60 Programme Sponsorship, £75 Matchball and £240 for the game or VIP Sponsorship at £300.
