A FITTING TRIBUTE FOR THE DUCHESS AT STOKE LANE.

Carlton Town celebrated the life of Jackie North in a special memorial game against Shepshed Dynamoe at Stoke Lane on Saturday.

Our cover picture shows the youngest members of Jackie’s family who were all mascots enjoying meeting the Miller Mouse who was on great form for this important day.

Carlton Town’s Vice President sadly died aged 84 on the 21st June and this was a fitting fixture as both Barry and Jackie have been involved with both clubs.
A massive Thankyou from everyone at Carlton Town Fc for the big part Shepshed played in this emotional day.

The last post which was brilliantly played out by our supporter Alistair followed by a minutes applause has already been put out by Carlton Town Tv and is moving indeed.

The game gave a chance for both teams to finalise their plans ahead of the new season and it was Carlton who ran out 3-1 winners after another decent pre season display in front of Jackie’s family.

Carlton were then awarded the new Jackie North Memororial Trophy by Barry and Jackie’s daughter before Barry spoke to Carlton Town Tv.
