Carlton Town are delighted to announce that Nottinghamshire’s Director of Cricket Mick Newell will be the club’s very special guest on Saturday for the big clash with Halesowen.
Former England Selector Newell has overseen some major honours for the Nottingham club in his different roles at the club and also one or two difficult seasons and it will be fascinating to hear his thoughts on the past, the present and the future when he is interviewed by the Chairman prior to the game.
Mick is a friend of the club and regularly sort out prizes for Carlton for their annual draws and the fact many Millers fans are Nottinghamshire fans as well bodes well for the afternoon.
A massive thankyou to Barry and Jackie North who have come forward to Sponsor the Match, while Paul Manual from the Dorking branch of the Supporters club has sponsored the programme and Men United who are holding a charity match on the pitch on Sunday 15th May have sponsored the Matchball.
Carlton are geared up for a bigger than usual crowd on Saturday and have staffed accordingly to try and provide supporters both home and away with a good Matchday experience.
