Commercial and Marketing Manager Gary ‘Boatsy’ Clarke told us, ” Although my role is to bring in vital funding in for the club, we agreed from the offset that I would also contribute to the club’s role in the community and I am delighted to oversee this fantastic inaiative for families that would not normally be able to afford to come to Stoke Lane”
“We are building up an excellent relationship with Baz at the Nottingham school of boxing, partly helped by the kind Sponsorship through Mike at Good Soul Promotions who paid for the recent mascots for under privileged children and I am delighted we can invite these children and their parents to this coming Saturday’s game” concluded Boatsy.
As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to the local community, they are also holding their final food bank of the year timed perfectly for the Christmas period and this will be open from Friday night onwards and during Saturday’s game and up to and including Tuesday 21st December when the club hold their annual Christmas draw hosted by Councillors Nicki Brooks and Paul Wilkinson.
A big Thankyou to Simon Charlton Roofing who are sponsoring the Matchball on Saturday and to Paul Judge who is sponsoring the Match day programme.
There will no doubt be a big push on the pitch to get back to winning ways, but equally important to the Millers is what they they do off the pitch to support the local community and this week’s announcements are a big part of that !
