A BAD DAY AT THE OFFICE FOR ON THE ROAD MILLERS !
Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton and Joint Manager Mark Harvey both described Saturday’s defeat to lowly Histon as a bad day at the office in separate interviews for different Tv Channels after the game.
Carlton had beaten Daventry, Wisbech and Soham Town Rangers at Stoke Lane since the start of the year and drawn at both Coleshill and Loughborough Dynamos, so were firm favourites to get a result at Histon who had not won a home game all season, but for the second time this season Histon provided difficult opposition for the previously In form Millers.
Apart from dropping the points, the biggest disappointment for Tommy, Mark and the players will be going down in front of such impressive away support, with the Millers fans vocal throughout, particularly when the club were attempting to get back into the game in the second half.
Carlton fans were made very welcome by their Histon counterparts and despite the defeat, said how much they had enjoyed the trip and many are pictured in the Red Lion before the game flying the flag.
Carlton are back in action on Tuesday at 7.45pm when they welcome Sporting Khalsa to Stoke Lane, with Talksport presenter Jonny Owen, the club’s very special guest and they will be hoping to return to winning ways.
