Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton was invited to the City Ground this week to take part in the awarding of over five a half thousand pounds to Emanuelle House, the superb charity that does so much for the homeless in Nottingham.
The money was raised at pat of a big bank holiday event at the Bill Stokeld Stadium, organised by Punjabi Forest which saw a Carlton Town x1 managed by Mick, Boatsy and Poiice Chief Andy Wilson take on a Punjabi Forest team managed by top Nottinghamshire Dj Sanj Beri and the Punjabi Forest boys, with Carlton narrowly winning the game 4-3..
The Family fun day event which had coaching sessions, Punjabi food, stalls, raffle and a Dj set from Sanj himself was a huge success and the money raised totally exceeded expectations.
Forest invited guests to the clubs excellent new museum where they watched a video narrated by brilliant Radio Nottingham presenter Colin Fray and were photographed handing the cheque over to the charity.
Mick told us “ It was a pleasure working with these guys and myself Boatsy and the team were delighted to have been able to contribute, Punjabi Forest are a massive credit to Nottingham Forest and will be proud with the amount of money raised for such a good charity and so they should be” concluded the Millers Chairman.
