Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton today praised the wonderful response he has had to a planned evening to celebrate 40 years since Nottingham Forest won the Division One League Championship under Brian Clough and Peter Taylor, with 50 of the 90 tickets already sold for the planned evening which is set to take place on Friday 20th April.

Guest speaker Alan Hill who is described by Garton as an outstanding speaker has already pledged to forfeit any fee to help the club raise money to improve their car park this summer which is in dear need of care and attention.

Garton has also took calls off other supporters and sponsors looking to take tickets who are set to come back to him in the near future and he is confident of achieving the target of filling all 90 places in the special event to be held in The Clubhouse Sportsbar.

"All I can say is a massive thankyou to everyone who has been in touch since this was announced at the weekend, the response as been incredible and we will endeavour to make it a very special spring evening"

"Anyone wishing to book their place should speak to me at the ground, let Jamie behind the bar know or email me at"

"With us being unable to have any realistic chance of obtaining any meaningful funding until the 2019/2020 season, we have to keep doing this as we have for the last 17 years of my tenure, so the response I have had from people already supporting this on top of our usual fund raising events is simply magnificent, we are as a club extremely grateful" concluded the Millers Chief.
