TALE OF TWO PENALTIES AS MILLERS DRAW AT ROMULUS!

Promotion Confirmed

LATE DRAMA AT SUTTON COLDFIELD!

Carlton Town came from 2-1 down to earn a share of the spoils at Romulus, but it could have been even better for Wayne Scotts side.

Danny Elliot gave Carlton a first half lead which lasted only 2 minutes, Reece Hutchinson equalising for the Sutton Coldfield based side and Romulus had the best of the first half.

Carlton were a different proposition in the second period and piled relentless pressure on the opposition but went 2-1 down against the run of play as Jordan Francis beat Jack Steggles with a header.

Aaron Hooton pulled Carlton level with a late penalty after he had been fouled following a corner, but when Mamoke Akaunu was brought down in the box minutes later, Hootons next penalty was saved much to the relief of the home fans.

Carlton now have two home fixtures with Lincoln United the visitors on New Years Day before 3rd placed Corby Town arrive at Stoke Lane on Saturday 6th January.

The two goalscoeres are pictured with Jack Steggles in the clubhouse Sportsbar when they came and paid their respects to the late Paul Shelton back in October.
