BLANK WEEKEND FOR MILLERS !

Promotion Confirmed

NEWS UPDATE FROM STOKE LANE!

Carlton Town manager Wayne Scott was hoping to have the opportunity to put last Saturdays 2-1 defeat at Stocksbridge to bed by picking some points up this coming weekend at Cleethorpes, but the game has been postponed as the opposition are still in the Fa Trophy.

Scott is hoping to have promosing youngster Niall Daley (pictured) back in the frame for selection soon as he finally sees light at the end of the tunnel following a bad knee injury.

The Millers will train and prepare for next Saturdays clash at home to Chasetown , but with little news to report on the pitch, Commercial Manager Brian Dennett has been working round the clock to secure some top prizes for this years Xmas draw.

With expensive testing and repairs carried out to Carltons Floodlights, problems once again with the clubs main mower and other unbudgetted items hitting the club in recent weeks, Dennett is throwing his heart and soul into the annual Christmas draw in order to raise some vital funds for the club.

Tickets are available from Brian or any member of the committee and from tonight are also available from Jamie behind the bar.

Prizes that have been added this week include a £20 John Lewis voucher donated by Lou Lardi, while Dennett has secured a 4 course meal at Toby Carvery at Colwick, 2 tickets for a Mansfield Town fixture, Savoy Cinema tickets, a family pass to Nottingham Castle and a £10 meat voucher for Robinsons Butchers in Netherfield.

The prizes being secured are as good as it gets for the big draw which will take place on Saturday 23rd December at 5.30pm following the home game v Stamford.

The club are hoping that Players, supporters, Committee, management and Sponsors will all get behind what is the clubs biggest draw of the year with some fantastic prizes.
