STEGS SWEEP STAKE AS POSITIVE AFFECT!

Carlton Town got back to winning always with a convincing 3-0 win over Market Drayton Town at Stoke Lane on Saturday afternoon and Mark Steggles was delighted for Aaron Hooton that he was back on the goals trail.

"We had a sweep stake among supporters on what minute he would get booked in because he as had more bookings than goals recently, but fair play to him, he responded in the way we hoped he would by scoring a brace and playing a big part in securing the points and we needed that" said a delighted Steggles.

Jordan Wilson continued his rich vein of goal scoring form with Carltons third making it six in six for the Millers frontman.

Kylie Stovell played his part once again, coming off the bench to set up the third goal for Wilson while Danny Gordon gets credit for two assists for both of Hootons goals.

The Millers missed more chances to make the win even bigger and in fairness, Jack Steggles made several good saves towards the clean sheet at the other end.

Carlton now have 17 points from 13 games and move up to 13th in the table ahead of next Saturdays tough away trip at Barwell in the Fa Trophy.
