GORMAN JOINS QUORN AS MILLERS LOOK FORWARD TO LEAGUE CUP CLASH!

Carlton Towns Jordan Wilson admitted he was delighted to have scored his 4th goal in 4 games and believed Carlton would have got something from the game had Jake Carlisle not been sent off.

"We started really well following on from the excellent performances against Frickley and Peterborough and I felt really confident, we were causing them all sorts of problems early on, but the sending off changed the course of the game, it is not easy to play with 10 men for over an hour against an inform team with a big home crowd and Robbie nearly claimed us a point at the end, Jack made some good saves before that, but it was frustrating in the end, I am pleased with my own goal scoring form at the moment and feel I can contribute more goals moving forward" said the talented young striker.

Lawrence Gorman meanwhile has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent to allow him to join Quorn Fc.

Chairman Mick Garton told us, Lawrence as not been in Waynes plans in recent weeks and that is football, but we all at the club would like to wish him all the best for the future, he was a pivotal part of the fact we stayed up last season and then won the Notts Senior Cup, I have been here for a lot of years and see good players come and go and genuinely hope he helps bring success to Quorn, a club we have had some great games with over the years"

Looking forward to Wednesday League Cup clash , the Chairman went on "We would appreciate Bonus Ball payments being made with the competition now in full swing and remind everyone that Firework Extravaganza tickets will be on sale in the bar, we welcome Matlock and in particular Secretary Tony Knowles who came to our fixture against Frickley to pay his own respects to Paul Shelton and we are all looking forward to the game after Tuesdays sad funeral" concluded the Chairman.
