CLUB GEARED UP FOR MEMORIAL GAME!

Promotion Confirmed

SUN SET TO SHINE FOR BRAHIMA!

Carlton Town are all geared up to pay tribute to one of their own, when parents, coaches, players and committee from all parts of the club come together today to support a memorial game in memory and honour of Brahima Ceesay who sadly passed away recently at just 18 years of age.

Brahima was part of John Kilcullens under 18s side and his former team mates will today take on a combination of first team players and under 17s in the game which kicks off at 2pm.

A collection had already been started at Stoke Lane and we understand over £100 was raised yesterday on top of money raised at the last two games and Carlton Commercial Manager Brian Dennett was putting his heart and soul in boosting the fund for Brahimas family at Stoke Lane yesterday.

Donation buckets will be on the gate for todays game and there will be a raffle which will be drawn after the game and Carlton committee members and supporters donated prizes at yesterdays game with more expected to come in today.

Each drink sold will have 20p added to the price which will go into the fund and both Chairman of the club, Mick Garton and Paul Whitby will be in attendance throughout the event at Stoke Lane.

This website understands that the majority of first team players have made themselves available for the game and that the under 17s despite having a game in the morning are also keen to be involved and first team manager Wayne Scott will involve everyone who wants to play.

The weather forecast for today looks good with Septembers hottest day so far predicted by the Met office and everyone at the club will indeed be hoping the sun shines for Brahima and for a decent turnout.
