Work is going on behind the scenes at Carlton Town to ensure Brahima Ceesay receives a fitting memorial game and a decent amount of money is raised for his family at this difficult time.

Councillor Sam Webster from Nottingham City Council has been in touch with the club and donated a family pass to Nottingham Castle for the days big raffle and a Cricket bat signed by Nottinghamshire County Cricket clubs trophy winning side which is set to be auctioned.

Chairman Mick Garton has promised a decent prize for the raffle and we understand, donations from others including local Mp Vernon Coaker and local Councillor Nicki Brooks for the raffle are also pending.

Junior Chairman Paul Whitby is engaging with the clubs junior set up for more donations and Millers supporter Roger Gailbraith has donated £20 to the fund which will be collected on the day of the Memorial game on the gate on Sunday 24th September 2pm.

There will be additional 20p charged. on every drink sold in the Clubhouse Sportsbar for that one day only which will go towards the fund.

Brahimas Carltons Town team managed by John Kilcullen will take on a Carlton Town X1 made up of first team players and players from Carlton Town under 18s for a 2pm kick off.

Further details will be announced in due course but everyone at the club is hoping for a decent turnout for the popular youngster, so sadly lost to his nearest and dearest after a tragic heart attack at just 18 years of age.
