CARLTON GO DOWN IN 4-3 HUCKNALL THRILLER!

Carlton Town were holding their 13th Annual Golf Day at Oakmere Park with 17 teams taking to the greens on a pleasant but cloudy day.

Carlton Town supporters, sponsors, players and committee members took to the greens with tee off times between 11.30am and 2.00pm.

Club Photographer Lou Lardi was on hand to cover the event, while Chairman Mick Garton was on Raffle duty raising over £400 for the club and President Roger Smith headed up the event with the kind help of Peter Gill.

Carlton Town legend Ian White was defending the trophy, his team won in 2016 and representing Carlton Town today were First team coach Lee Esam, goalkeeper Jack Steggles along with Players Kurt Hallam and Ben Wallace, they are pictured ready to tee off at the first.

Carlton visited Hucknall Town on Wednesday night with a big squad and put out two pretty much different sides in each half, but despite leading 3 times, went down 4-3 to an impressive Hucknall Town side with Shaun Smith the stand out Player with an excellent brace.

Carlton are next in action on Tuesday 25th July when Mansfield Town send a side to Stoke Lane, kick off 7.30pm.
