NEW CONTRACT FOR JACK STEGGLES ANNOUNCED BY CLUB!

Carlton Town are delighted to announce that outstanding young first team goalkeeper Jack Steggles has signed a new contract with the club after talks with Millers Manager Wayne Scott.

Steggles who won The Chairmans award at the end of the 2015/2016 season presentation night came third in the Supporters votes for their player of the year for last season and continues to impress and progress.

Steggles made a fantastic and vital save with his feet in the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup Final at Meadow Lane with the score at 2-1 to Carlton and is a key member of Wayne Scotts side.

Steggles told us he was happy to sign " I was pleased to be offered a new contract and happy to accept it, it was nice to end the season with the great win at Meadow Lane and I look forward to the new season with the lads and hopefully a better season in the league"

Steggles was an outfield player when he joined Carltons Academy but with the help of excellent goalkeeping Coach Kelvin, he has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in the league and senior figures at Stoke Lane are known to be delighted he is set to remain between the sticks for The Millers!
