MILLERS PROUD OF THEIR CHARITY AND COMMUNITY ROLE!

OVER 6K RAISED AT TWO EVENTS!

While Carlton Town are proud of any success they achieve on the pitch, the club are also highly commited to the role they play in the local community through their school partnership programme and their support of local charities and Carlton officials including Chairman Mick Garton (pictured) have made a point of attending both Charity games in the last couple of weeks.

Forever Stars raised an outstanding £4,349 at their event based arond their football match at Carlton Town on Sunday 30th April while Dale Foss and Craig Sherman raised £1,752 for Prostate Cancer on Saturday 13th May at another highly succesfull event at Stoke Lane.

"We really do take our role in the local community extremely seriously and i am deligted we have been able to reflect that in these oustanding two events" said the Millers Chairman. 

"We have a window of oppurtunity at the begining and at the end of the season to help good local causes and i am delighted both Carly and Ben (Forever  Stars) and Dale and Craig have raised fantastic sums of money for their chosen charities and what fantastic causes they both are"

Carlton Town President Roger Smith and Commitee man Mark Steggles were also delighted to represent the club last week at the Inside Out Groups Charity Golf Day at Mapperley and although not amongest the prizes this time out, both reported back on an excellent event and were just both happy to get involved and support the event.
