CARLTON LAUNCH DRAW TO CLEAR MOWER DEBT!

Promotion Confirmed

SIR HENRY COOPER SIGNED BOXING SHORTS UP FOR GRABS!

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton is determined to ensure the club start the 2017/2018 season without outstanding debts hanging over them.

"One of things that I am proud of over the years I have been at the helm here is that we have always paid our bills, even when it has been a struggle, we have always found a way, that has certainly not been the case with every club locally in recent years and it is sadly one of the main reasons, only ourselves and Basford remain in this division and there is no one currently higher.

I have donated Sir Henry Cooper (pictured) boxing shorts signed by the late boxing legend, which are a valuable prize indeed from our Sporting Memrobilla gallery in Nottingham and we have 4 other great prizes including Nottingham Forest hospitality for next season for 2 people, a meal for 4 at the Trent Navigation, a Spa Day at Belton Woods in Grantham and a meal for 2 at the Walkabout in Derby.

We will be selling envelopes at £10 each during the coming weeks and we will hold the draw on Saturday 24th June at the Reunion / Beer Festival event , the money from this draw will hopefully clear the outstanding debt from the mower loan and mean we can start again next season with a clean slate.

We are close to hopefully announcing new kit sponsors for next season and of course we will be part of the Norhern Premier League Academy League set up next season, which is a combined education and football programme with the next Academy trials set for Thursday 1st June at the ground, this can only be of benefit to the club moving forward and something a number of us involved with the club including Wayne have been working on for some time.

In fairness there is no urgent pressure to repay the loan and the loanee has been brilliant, but it is important in principal we get it cleared, so i would ask the commitee and friends to get behind this iniative to give us a clean bill of health for next season and support the events we have lined up over the summer which will support the running of the team and the stadium for next season" concluded the Chairman.
