Promotion Confirmed

Carlton Towns Alex Troke gave an in depth and exclusive interview with Millers Radio following his wonder strike that earnt Carlton a 4-4 draw against Stamford last week after the Millers had gone 4-3 down.

On a personal level, Troke admitted his confidence was returning after a spell on the sidelines at Coalville Town had denied him game time, following injury and then the fact Coalville have so many good players.

It is also fair to say Troke had struggled to hit the heights Carlton fans know he is capable of in his loan spell at Stoke Lane this season, but manager Wayne Scott kept the faith and he signed Troke on transfer deadline day and the Millers faithful are now seeing flashes once again of what he can bring to the team.

Troke said that at only 23, he wanted to be playing and Carlton had given him that opportunity, although he expressed disappointment at the number of goals the Millers had conceded after 3 times going in front against Stamford.

Troke also gave his thoughts ahead of the Senior Cup Final with Basford United on Tuesday May 2nd at Meadow Lane, a competition he had captained the Millers to their only 2nd ever win in 2014,when they defeated Rainworth at Hucknall Town, although Carlton of course first meet their local neighbours on Bank Holiday Monday 17th April with a 3pm kick off with Basford needing a win to ensure they maintain their playoff hopes.

Carlton will also be holding their Easter Draw after the game 5.30pm and everyone is reminded to bring in their draw stubs and money before 5pm with a dozen top prizes up for grabs.

Alex Trokes excellent interview with Millers Press Officer Josh Hodgson is now on Millers Radio!
