TROKE RESCUES A POINT, MILLERS BUCK THE TREND!

CHAIRMAN IN CALL TO SUPPORT EASTER DRAW AND FORTHCOMING SPEAKERS NIGHT!

Carlton Town started their run of 3 home games on the bounce with a 1-1 draw over Romulus and were the only home team in Division One South to win a point, every other game resulted in away wins.

It would be interesting indeed to see the last time no home teams won in a full programme of games on a Saturday!

Alex Troke scored his first goal since making the full switch from Coalville Town and Aaron Hooton put in a decent display, continuing his rehabilitation following his bad knee injury.

Troke equalised on 28 minutes after a good cross from Niall Davie, after Ricky Hill had given Romulus an 8th minute lead.

Carlton remain 19th in the table after this end of season stalemate, that did not get many pulses racing according to Notts Non League TVs Daniel Hall and Carlton committee man Mark Steggles.

A fair result was the general concensus among those in the Bill Stokeld stadium and Carlton now turn their attention to Tuesday night when Stamford are the visitors to Stoke Lane.

Millers Chairman Mick Garton has asked everyone to clear their Bonus Ball debts and do their best to sell their Easter Draw tickets or indeed purchase some.

"It is no secret we have had a lot to pay out this month, so getting money in is a priority indeed, we have some cracking prizes for the big draw on Easter Monday including another 40" Colour TV"

"On a personal note, I have got stuck into over the weekend and sold over £100s worth on Saturday and I know Brian sold £60s worth"

"I also sold another 2 tables for the Evening with Ian Storey-Moore taking sales to around the 70 mark leaving us just 20 tickets to sell for the event on Friday 16th June"

Tickets are available to see the Nottingham Forest legend from Gaz Bee on 07791 681407.
