Carlton Town first team coach Lee Esam (pictured) said the Millers were unlucky to return to Nottingham with nothing to show for their efforts after going down 2-0 at Witton Albion on Tuesday night, with striker Arron Hooton stepping up his comeback as a second half substitute hitting the woodwork twice, the Millers also had an effort cleared off the line before Witton broke away and got their second goal to put the game to bed.

"I thought we deserved a point against a very good Witton side" said Esam.

Esam also praised the clubs academy boys for an impressive away win at Belper Town on Monday with the Millers winning 3-1.

"There were 2 goals for Anton Wedderbourne and one for Kyle Stovell and both impressed and it was great to see Damo back in a Carlton shirt after his injury problems, it was an excellent team performance against a team who have not lost since October and we received some compliments on our football at the end which was nice"

The Academy are back in action next Thursday 13th April at Stoke Lane when they take on Eastwood while the first team have two home games in 4 days, Romulus visit this Saturday 8th April 3pm and Stamford are the midweek opponents on Tuesday 11th April 7.45pm.
