THANKYOU FOR MESSAGES RE ROY AND NEWS UPDATE FROM STOKE LANE!

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton was in London on business this weekend and took the opportunity to attend a trade show at Wembley specifically aimed at Non League Clubs, he is pictured just before entering the exhibition in the Great Hall at Wembley earlier today.

"First of all I would like to thank everyone who as been in touch over the last few days regarding my dad Roy, many Carlton fans will be aware of his financial imput during the Tommy Brookbanks era, although many new fans will not, he was a massive help to myself and Tommy and brought into what we trying to do here, his help was crucial and I was proud to have my dad on board during that fantastic period for us"

"He saw nearly every home game during our glory years, particularly when Tommy was manager and at the start of Les Mcjanetts journey, but he as been in and out of hospital for the last 12 months and his latest spell inside as been the longest and he was in a bad way towards the early part and the middle of last week and we were fearing the worst, but he is a fighter and the news we had this morning is that he will be coming back to the nursing home which is great news, so a big thankyou for all the messages I have received from everyone over the last few days"

"The improvement in dads condition enabled me to make the long time planned journey to London and also attend the Trade show on behalf of the club and I made some useful contacts, which will hopefully lead to us having some new products in the Club Shop ahead of next season"

Bonus Ball meanwhile rolls on with the Chairmans son Josh now also needing number 7 and the pot at over £1,200 although if Josh was to win the pot, he would have to share it with John Hickling.

Carlton have also been told today that their under 21s cup game as been reverted back to Hallam FC, after the match at Stoke Lane got called off last Thursday due to a waterlogged pitch, it will take place this Wednesday March 8th.
