BROOKBANKS AND MURPHY PAY TRIBUTE TO SHELTS

Promotion Confirmed

SEARCH FOR NEW SECRETARY BEGINS!

Former Millers manager Tommy Brookbanks and former Captain Martin Ball both attended Paul Sheltons 40/60 celebrations at Stoke Lane on Friday evening along with Notts Non league TV who covered the event.

Brookbanks and Chairman Mick Garton both gave interviews to the non League Broadcasters with a touch of humour but much warmth and from the Carlton first team camp, coach Lee Esam also spoke warmly about the retiring Millers secretary.

Shelton also gave an interview to the Broadcasters, believed to be his first ever!

It was nice to see members of the first team staff players and management in attendance with Goalkeeper Jack Steggles, left back Daniel Fletcher and Centre half Lawrence Gorman in the house, although they were unable to take much advantage from the free bar with a game the next day, it should also be mentioned what a fantastic spread Becky and the team put on!

Garton then introduced Supporters Club Chief Alan Murphy who spoke brilliantly before Brookbanks himself who worked with "Shelts" for 14 years came up to say a few heartfelt words.

"Shelts" continues of course in his current role until the end of the season and the club will now need to step up their search for a replacement for the popular long serving living legend of a secretary.
