SUPPORTER STEPS FORWARD TO FILL PITCHERO CAMERA MAN ROLE!

Carlton Town have confirmed their support for their all new School Partnership matches which are aimed at specific local Schools.

Last Saturday saw the Millers go down 5-1 against outstanding top of the table side Shaw Lane Aquaforce in front of a crowd of 190 at Stoke Lane and the club have today confirmed that over half the crowd were from partners for the game Porchester Junior School.

Chairman Mick Garton told us  "we may have given tickets away for this fixture, but our takings on the bar and tea bar were excellent and feedback from the school has all been positive, can we improve things yes!, it is a learning curve and we will be delighted to invite St John The Baptist School to be our very special guests on Saturday 25th February"

"Julian Wilson was brilliant in putting the first one together and Councillor Nicki Brookes (pictured) is putting everything into our second one in terms of support for the school and the football club, it is a fantastic gesture by a councillor the local community can be proud of, she is totally committed to this kind of local community partnership event with the school providing Ball Boys/Girls, Mascots and being given free tickets for all pupils, parents and teachers" said the Carlton Town Chairman.

"On another positive note, I can reveal supporter Neal Ward contacted the Northern Premier league and offered to be our camera operative for the new Pitchero match day highlights package for all home games he can attend, I will be meeting and talking to Neal at the next home game next Tuesday v Spading to hopefully move things forward and I would like to thank Neal for putting himself forward"

"We need to build on our social media and re launch Millers TV in the coming months and hopefully, this is something Neal and Press Officer Josh Hodgson can both help get their teeth into going forward"

"On the School partnership Programme, we will continue to work with two fantastic people in terms of Julian Wilson and Nicki Brookes and we look forward to engaging with more local schools in the coming months" concluded the Millers Chief.
