Promotion Confirmed

Carlton Town president Roger Smith pictured claiming a superb prize from special guest John McGovern for a ticket he had sold at Carltons big Christmas draw in December, said the Millers deserved at least a point from their game at Gresley which they lost in stoppage time.

It may have been a case of what goes around comes around as Carlton beat Sherwood Colliery in extra time on Tuesday, after a 92nd minute equaliser at Stoke Lane from Josh Rae.

"I voted for Jack Steggles as my man of the match because he made several fine saves, but in reality we were on the front foot for large parts of this game and if we had taken our chances, we could easily have won it ourselves" said Smith.

"We deserved at least a point and I felt for the manager and the lads at the end on a really difficult pitch and officials from Gresley were courteous enough to say the same, but thats football and we go again next week in another really tough game when the league leaders visit Stoke Lane"

Next Saturdays fixture against Shaw Lane Aquaforce is a School Partnership game with Porchester Junior School providing Ball Boys/girls and Mascots and parents and pupils coming along as the clubs very special guests for what will no doubt been possibly Carltons toughest fixture of the season.
