MIXED EMOTIONS FOR HATRICK HERO HOOTON!

Promotion Confirmed

LONG WAIT FOR AMBULANCE FOR INJURED STRIKER!

Carlton Towns week nearly ended perfectly with Arron Hooton scoring a hatrick against 6th placed Chasetown to help the Millers to a 3-1 victory in possibly their best performance of the season.

It meant 6 games unbeaten for Carlton incorporating 3 wins and 3 draws and leaves them just outside the relegation zone and was their 2nd 3-1 win over Chasetown at Stoke Lane this season, after previously beating them in the FA Trophy.

This win however was much more convincing, Hooton gave Carlton the lead from the penalty spot after being flattened by the Chasetown keeper before great runs from Josh Rae and Mellors Blair set Hooton up for his second and third goals either side of half time.

Joy turned to sadnesses however late on as Hooton went down in pain with what seemed a serious knee injury.

Hootons knee was badly swollen and after he had been carried off, an ambulance was called by the clubs medical staff but it took 2 hours to arrive and the player was left in agony for a considerable period of time.

The club and player face an agonising wait to discover the extent of the injury, it is a massive blow to manager Wayne Scott given Hootons amazing record since rejoining the club, he has scored 9 goals in 8 games and recently signed a contract committing himself to the Millers for the remainder of the season, despite a 7 day approach from an Evostick Premier League side.

If the talented striker is out for any length of time, then it will be for others to step up to the plate to help pull the Millers out of trouble and today quite a few of those other players played particularly well!

Millers Press Officer Josh Hodgson spoke to goalkeeper Jack Steggles after this latest excellent result and his interview will be on Millers Radio!
