CARLTON WIN AT LAST AND IN STYLE!

Promotion Confirmed

MURPHY PRAISE FOR AWAY WIN!

Supporters chief Alan Murphy praised Carlton for keeping the ball on the floor and playing some decent football in a fantastic 3-0 away win at Market Drayton.

Murphy among others as been critical in recent weeks, particularly in his programme notes of much of the style of football played by Carlton.

Many at the club believe that is down to a lack of confidence on the players part rather than tactics instructed by manager Wayne Scott.

Aaron Hooton scored his 3rd goal in 5 games following his return to Stoke Lane from Basford United and fellow striker Mellors-Blair hit a brace to help secure the 3-0 win and the much needed clean sheet!

Despite the positive result, Carlton remain 2nd bottom of Evostick Division One South and will need to build on this excellent result if they are to get out of trouble at the foot of the table.

Rugby Town also had a great win beating Newcastle United but remain bottom following Carltons win!
