FINALLY SOME GOOD NEWS FROM STOKE LANE!

Promotion Confirmed

DEFIBRILLATOR FUND BOOST AND DONATION FOR SHAW LANE DANIEL WILKINSON FOUNDATION!

The results on the pitch may be dire for everyone connected with Carlton Town at the moment but that has not stopped everyone involved with the club from players, supporters, Commitee and Management getting behind something that really matters.

While Brian Dennett was launching the Defibrillator fund, fellow committee man and Club Photographer Lou Lardi was doing his bit on behalf of the club to raise money for The Daniel Wilkinson Foundation, after the Shaw Lane Aquaforce player tragically died after a heart attack during a recent game against Brighouse Town.

Carlton are delighted to announce that Lou will be sending a cheque for £215 to Aquaforce for the fund and Lou would like to thank everyone involved with Carlton who brought club photographs to raise money for that fund.

Carlton Town supporter, Commitee representative and Junior coach Greg Last meanwhile made his own outstanding donation matching Brian Dennets £200 contribution towards the clubs very own Defilbrillator and when supporter Roger Gailbraith passed Brian Dennett another £40 as he left the ground last night, it took the fund to £640 following early pledges of £100 each from Chairman Mick Garton and former Academy and Reserve manager Ian Spencer.

The Carlton Town family can feel proud and confident that a Defibrillator will soon be in place at the Bill Stokeld Stadium for the benefit of everybody using the complex and that the club have done their bit to support the Evostick Northern Premier League family and the fantastic fund set up in the name of Daniel, a fitting cause indeed!
