6TH DEFEAT BY ODD GOAL AT CHASETOWN!

Promotion Confirmed

CARLTON GO DOWN IN THE RAIN!

On a miserable rain swept evening at Chasetown, Carlton suffered their 10th league defeat of the season and their 6th by the odd goal, their other 4 by just 2 goals!

No thrashings, no humiliation, but at the moment , Carlton Town FC have seemingly forgot how to win a football match and when they hit the bar in the first minute, one once again feared the worst and it was a goal by Chasetowns Dance early in the game which sealed Carltons fate once again.

Carlton manager Wayne Scott admitted the Millers were second best in the first half before improving in the second and he thought the Millers were worthy of a point, but Carlton suffered more bad luck finishing the last quarter of the game with 10 men after Kallum Keane pulled up with an injury after Scott had used all his substitutes.

Scott will be hoping To have Niall Davey back on Saturday for the trip to Bedford but will certainly be missing Keane.

Jack Steggles (pictured) won the Millers man of the match award for some fine saves as Carlton got caught on the break pushing for a late equaliser, but once again the players and management were left to reflect on a single goal defeat leaving the Millers in deep relegation trouble.
